The whole point I was making it was his decisions over the season that got us up.

He was unlucky we came up against a Wrexham team who got 110+ points otherwise we'd have walked the league.

What he does at Swansea doesnt effect us at all good luck to him but im more interested at what Maynard can do.

Yes ok lets call it "Attention to detail" and its not just a case of picking 11 players its how you communicate and manage them.

I stand by what I said most coaches wouldnt do it.

Any Notts supporter worth his salt will remember what LW did for our team, together with what our club did for him...... a job in the Championship, its worked both ways.
I'm fully behind our new management team now in the belief that our owners have uncovered another gem, i know that remains to be seen but SM just seems to have that little nous about him in the way he interviews, hope i am right. What a feeling it would be if..... this time next year our next home fixture were to be vs Swansea complete with LW back at the lane!.
If we’re playing Swansea next season I doubt LW will be there!

Whether , NA or IB would have achieved promotion with this squad is pure speculation.
The undisputed facts are that the two former persons couldn't restore football league status and LW did.
LW certainly has better quality players this season but the key issue was his abilities to unite and motivate the players and fans at important times. NA and IB didn't appear to be so inspiring.
With regards to LW going to Swansea ambitious people have to take opportunities as they arise. I recall Warnock declining to manage Chelsea , remaining loyal to Notts and then being sacked.
More so , these days, any manager is facing the sack within 6 or 12 matches without a decent points return.

The only fact is his tactics/decision making got us up.

As for Mair MOST coaches would not have done that he was brave enough and it was genius.
Tom Weal got us up as it was clearly his idea but not his call. Luckily Luke trusted him and made the decision.

Tom also identified the goalie's weakness which is why Bostock took the free kick and deliberately went for the near post for the equaliser.

No idea if he has any input into recruitment.

Tom did have recommend Mair though from his links with Norwich.

No idea how Stone came to the club though, must have slipped through the net
