    Demel is released from hospital

West Ham United defender Guy Demel has left hospital after sustaining concussion during his side's 2-0 win at Cardiff City on Saturday, the London club announced on Sunday.

Demel was stretchered off in the early stages of the Premier League game at the Cardiff City Stadium following an accidental collision involving Cardiff striker Fraizer Campbell and team-mate Roger Johnson.

The Ivory Coast right-back subsequently spent Saturday night in hospital, before being released on Sunday morning.

"Guy Demel has been released from hospital this morning," West Ham announced on their official Twitter page.

"He suffered concussion from a head injury picked up in the 2-0 win at Cardiff."

    Good news indeed.

No mention of the "dislocated elbow" from early reports yesterday.

Lets hope he is okay for next Saturday.

It looked nasty from where I was standing...they needed Oxygen tanks and a small army of paramedics and he was down for over 10 minutes not moving.
