I've come tae the conclusion that I hate whisky

...now I've tried different whiskys afore, blends, malts, etc etc...and I just don't like it.

the smell gies me the boak, the taste gies me heartburn.

anyhoo I won 2 bottles o the stuff at ma works christmas raffle

1 bottle o highland park 12 year old single malt

and

1 bottle o some 10 year old blend thats got one o ma cusotmer lables on it.

fair doo's I thought, I crack open the highland park and gie the stuff yet another try.

cracked the bottle open earlier, just filled up ma tumbler and I'm near wretching :/

the smell is off putting, I've just tried necking some and I feel like ma insides are on phukkin fire.

should I bang in some irn bru or lemonade tae calm it doon a bit??

i can handle rum...and I like a straight rum...but this whisky is phukkin rotten

Proper mannie's drink and something from these shores enjoyed the world over.

Nae mixers, nae ice, occasionally a dash of water helps in some malts, but most are best neat.

Persist and you will learn to like it...(maybe)
