West Ham Newcastle - Official Match Thread

This Saturday sees us entertain Newcastle who are currently 8th in the league & on a 3 game losing streak (2 league & 1 cup).

In league games against us they have won 46, drawn 35 & lost 38 but they haven't scored against us in the 3 games with Allardyce as our manager (two 0-0 & a 1-0).

Prior to that they were unbeaten against us in THIRTEEN games stretching back to 2001 when we beat them 3-0 at UP with Hutchinson, Di Canio & Kanoute getting the goals - against a Geordie strikeforce of Shearer & Bellamy!

Both managers are ex managers with Pardews time at West Ham probably remembered better than Allardyce's at Newcastle.

We are coming off a confidence booting win as well as the re-signing of Cole, return from injury of Carroll & the signing of Traore - a combined height of 19 feet 3 inches

Neither Carroll or Traore are fully match fit yet so I expect Cole to start.

Adrian should keep his place in goal with Ginge coming back to pair up at CB with Johnson. Rat & McCartney shou

Well done Taans a good post opener. I would have awarded you a "Like" but the site is generally f.ucked and the keyboard mapping has been set on random.

I predict another 3-0 and fancy a Noble penalty. Have you seen the way Newcastle tackle ? With as much grace as telling an opposing manager he is "a f.ucking old c.unt"

    It's a 4 game losing streak now. :/

Our strikers have stopped scoring (well, Shola hasn't started and Remy isn't 'ours' so that's a load of sh!te already ).

Depends which Newcastle turn up, really. We've been pretty good...and utterly sh!te and we genuinely don't have a clue from game to game which we'll be next.

You will have some momentum from last week's win and I'm hoping we'll be fired up by Sunday's injustice.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was a draw and I'd settle for that, tbh.

Good luck with the rest of your season, lads.

In our goalless draw with them at their place they were the better in midfield but could not get past our back 4/5 and resorted to lots of long range shots which were either blocked or off target.

    Collins is so ***** here.

A realistic assessment I fear. They were unlucky at the weekend with the disallowed goal and are pretty nippy going forward.
