And in other news, the Titanic has sunk.
As much as I hate Salmond, I couldn't care less about this non story.
First minister of Scotland on trip to promote Scotland.
The only thing that they can get the fat jambo cant on is his wife going along with him.
I don't think any of these expenses fiascos are non-stories. The more that are brought to the public's attention, the more likelihood is that the politicians will have to curb their spending.
This isn't an expenses fiasco. There was a very small portion of the public money that might have been dubious but most of it was spent trying to drum up trade for Scotland.
That should be a good thing (even though I agree that the bill was OTT).
I would still expect the Ryder cup to bring in more money than was spent by the Scottish government.
You should try a different angle. Maybe saying that Scotland wouldn't be allowed into a Ryder cup in future. That must be the one thing that 'Project Fear' haven't treid yet.
But there's still time.
Golf is for w@nkers.
Hey Woland if you really that concerned about public finances You'd do bett to focus on Alistair Darling, Here's a man who "flipped" his hoose 4 times, making thousands off us tax payers,When Darling was promoted to Chancellor, a post which comes with a grace and favour flat in Downing Street, and this became his new a??second homea?? while he rented out his own flat. Darling also claimed A?500 a month on food whilst bairns all over the UK were living in poverty, And even now he's still at it !! Claiming his A?109.000 MP ex Chancellor salary + max expenses, Instead of working for his constituents of S Edinburgh he tours the country on speaking engagements making over A?300.000 last year oh and lets not forget his little side wage working for Better Together, For Mr Darling it really IS better together !

If the benefits outweight the costs, yes. preferably by a massive factor.
I would also not trust the Scotsman to have reported this accurately. Seems a bit on the high side in terms of
