    Has anyone got

    A dog,
And if so what breed and how old is your loyal friend..

We had a we westie bonnie whom we had to put down at home couple weeks back by the vet it was the hardest heartbreaking decision we had to make..we tried everything to keep her going but in the end had to admit defeat..the vet said most dogs have to be put down as they don't normally pass in their sleep..

My daughter is still finding it hard to come to terms with it as she gave that dog everything and more..

She was 15yrs old but it wasn't easy..

There was a poem MY DOGS LAST DAY ..reading that was a big help the reason for me bringing this up is anyone with dogs it would be good to have this poem as it will help when that day comes..I wasn't going to post this but I wanted to help other posters as it helped me..
I don't know if some fellow poster can post that poem be good if you could..

    Edit,
    The last battle poem..

Here's the Jabberwocky always a favourite of mine...

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
    All mimsy were the borogoves,
    And the mome raths outgrabe.

    "Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and s***
    The frumious Bandersnatch!"
He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
    And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
    And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through
    The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
    He went galumphing back.
"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
    O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
    He chortled in his joy.

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
    Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
    All mimsy were the borogoves,
    And the mome r

I had a bearded collie called Sam. He was a big soft, hairy lump and used to lie on the pavement outside our house for hours on end. The binman actually thought he was an auld rug one day and went to lift him, he phuckin' sh1t himself when he realised it was a dug.

Hi Buc, I am so sorry to hear that, I have a tear in my eye thinking about it and my thoughts go out to you and your family. Think of the good times you shared together, I'm sure there are ***dreds. Time does help but Meg and Kelly will always be in our thoughts as you will always think about your lovely little Scottie dog

    Aye Deemo,

We still have a Scottie Angus at home he's 5 and runs we us most the time.

It was a horrible time for you last year for sure..I'm also sure Meg and Kelly had a loving home that I know..
