    The Davids and Hearn in East End merger plot!

    The useless management of this club, as demonstrated by the owners:

    • Persistence with a manager who has no obvious interest in the footballing traditions of this club;

    • continued faith in a manager who continually places players out of their natural positions - for example why not play Downing on the left and didn’t Jarvis actually make his on the right? There were lots of crossing opportunities on the left against Newcastle, which all went to waste and Downing was nowhere near them;

    • their constant spin on transfers that never actually happen; and

    • presumably their complete lack of understanding of what good football actually looks like can only mean one thing:

    They are doing this deliberately, so that the Irons and the Orient can meet up in harmonious East End derbies over the next couple of years, and then as the Olympic Stadium finally opens its doors, the clubs can merge and become West Ham Orient FC.
