    Where were you?

The last time Scotland played in a World Cup?

I'd been in Edinburgh for a year & watched the Brazil game in a boozer just off The Meadows, never thought I'd be sitting here nearly 16 years later typing this...

    re: Where were you?

I was in Paris for the opening game, nae chance of a ticket but went for the hell of it.

Ran amok in the Champs Elysee after the match, fecking brilliant.

Got on a bus to get back to the hotel aboot 1AM, buckled, got on the wrong bus and ended up in some absolute hellhole on the outskirts.

    Baffled, pished, clueluess.

Ended up getting a prostitute to phone a taxi for me cos you cannae hail them in the street in Paris.

World Cup 98 was a hoot

Watched it in a boozer not far from the Eiffel Tower. Great atmosphere after the game until the north Africans appeared begging for money. A few of them got whacked.

Went to bordeaux. Watched the Morocco game in a bar in somewhere near Southampton and got into a bar fight with a bunch of Arabs.

I never saw AJ or Dullard.

I was at the Hotel De Ville (sp?) watching the game gettign sunburnt then got soaked in the Champs Elysses after it.

Had tickets for the Norway and morocco game.

Fantastic and the last real lads holiday I had.

Getting **** faced sitting outside our tent in lyon making friends with all nations was one of the best times of my life.

The results on the other hand were utter pish.

Was at Italia 90 as well.

    re: Where were you?

We stayed at a caravan park on the outskirts of Paris, couldn't get a hotel in Paris at any price. Bordeaux was great and I loved every minute of that trip. I would recommend anybody who hasn't been to a World Cup to go. Eight of us went and we had a mixture Rangers, Celtic and Partick Thistle fans in there all supporting the one team.
