Official West Ham United v Swansea Thread

Recent form: W Ham last five fixtures WLDLD. Home win percentage 18%. Swansea last five LLDLW Away win percentage 27%

After wednesday nights quite remarkable defensive performance at Chelsea, perhaps this signals an upturn in fortune.

What did we learn after Chelsea: Matt Taylor is better blocking shots than distributing the ball, Adrian is a quality goal keeper, team spirit and fight is almost shared by all,
Samuel in smug mode loves to play the tactical genius infront of the media, Matt Taylor gives a very eloquent interview and Andy 15M Carroll needs to practise his volleying technique.

Swansea at the moment, seem strangely unbalanced and I can't help feeling Michael Laudrup's no longer got his heart in it.

With the right (CREATIVE) team formation on saturday, we need another rousing display and a home win. I'm confident we have the players to achieve this, it's just...what Samuel does with them that worries me...

Will be interesting to see what team Sam puts out. Any news on Diame and O'Brien? Is Reid back yet? Is Nocerino ready to start?

we have shown that we can play an obstinate game against the Russians,

now its an attacking version we need,
3 points, nothing else is of any use.

Diame wait and see...O'Brien dislocated shoulder 4-12 weeks...Nocerino was a substitute, so who knows...you can add into that Morrison, will he still be at the club by Sat and if so will he play, he was an unused sub on Weds.

The other striker from Roma, when will he feature ? The midfielder just signed from Anzhi, is he match fit ?

Yes it's all up for debate as usual

And if football was Wacky Races, west ham would be The Ant Hill mob

Sam has zero excuses now. He has most of the injured players back, he has several new signings.

Cant sit back in games like these. Just have to go at it from the start.

    Attack, attack, attack.

    That doesn't make sense, mate.

Four minus twelve weeks means he'll be back two months ago

"he'll go for this 1 mate he has 2!"

Is that a clever and subtle way of you saying it will be 1-2 Swansea.
