    A view from Stamford Bridge

I managed to find a bit of time to write some stuff down regarding Wednesday, To be honest, work has been a bit time consuming so haven't had a lot of time to write a review in the last few weeks but since a few have asked, here goes.

Stamford Bridge is not far for me since I live in NW London so I tubed it down, met a long standing Chelsea supporting mate in the Hollywood arms where they do a nice bit of food before heading over to the ground. It was pissing with rain from the moment I got up to the moment I went to bed on Wednesday so not the nicest conditions.

There is something about Stamford Bridge that I really don't like. Its such a corporate place to go. Maybe its the armies of stewards all waiting in the forecourt where you know they are only interested in recommending which restaurant to go to or maybe its the fact that the fans all look like tourists with the 'Special one' tee shirts that makes me want to vomit.

For our last 3 or 4 visits I have been in the upper tier. I

    Nice job Hammerman, appreciated.

You make a good point about their shots on goal. Only listened on the radio and saw the highlights on MOTD but it's hardly as if all those goal attempts were hitting the top corner or being scrambled off the line ffs.

Thanks 69 for that first hand account - much better than most of the crap newspaper reports. Agree about Adrian; he's becoming a firm favourite with our fans what with his great goalkeeping and enthusiastic approach to the game.Others take heed.

    Cheers for that, Hammerman.

    2 things:

I love how whenever anybody mentions that they have a mate who supports Chelsea, we have to make it clear that he's a "long standing fan"

And on the chants bit, I wasn't there but was informed one of the songs of the night was when Fatty was warming up for the Plastics and Carlty for us. Our lot chanted "Carlton, Carlton, knock him out!" Carlty responded by jokingly jogging past Lampard and "punching him" which got a loud cheer
