message to SAM and THE BOARD

Well not a bad window none of our best players gone or off on Loan and what's come in should strengthen - if played (but try and oust Nolan from a given spot)
However the board should now keep a close eye on sam's dealing's who wanted Maiga who cost us ?4.7m nobody other than QPR on loan . Who wanted Diarra -who cost us approx 2.2m nobody not even on loan. Who wanted Rat -nobody - so we wrote off his remaining contract. SORRY STAY UP OR GO DOWN THIS GUY IS RUNNING OUT OF TIME !!
But will be there tomorrow !!

It's been a good transfer window when you consider our position in the league.

We haven't sold any of our key players and have added some extra quality in Nocerino and Armero as well as looking to build for the future with the additions of Gordon and Razak. With Carroll and soon Reid returning from injury, they'll be like new signings too.

"But will be there tomorrow !! " - I knew you would be, mate

Of the teams at or around the bottom we've done better than most in the transfer window. Palace seem to have done ok but I can't see a huge improvement in any of the others.

Tony Cottee was on Sky saying we didn't get the Greek as Fulham were prepared to pay a fee and I reckon that's about right. As to how good he is, Chelsea and Arsenal both need strikers and I didn't see them beating down the doors to get him. And while Berbatov may not have the fight for a relegation battle, he is class and to swap him for a player who's played his football in the Greek league is a big risk, and he didn't come cheap.

The dealings of the club have been very good so credit where credit's due for once. It gives us a chance. I still want Allardyce gone come what may at the end of the season but three points today would be very welcome and hopefully some of the new faces can play a big part.

a good window all things considered,

shame we didn't get McCormack though, does look an exciting prospect and at only 27 years old plenty of mileage.

    from the BBC

Busiest domestic club on deadline day: Crystal Palace, Fulham and QPR signed five players.

How much REAL quality have they signed ?

Must admit I don't know anything about our eyeties or the left sided player but I was always a believer that if our existing squad was fit it would only need tweeqing, which is what has happened with minimal layout.

In a case of what might have been, by all accounts if we had unlimited cash we would have had Lescott and Jelle Vossen from Genk who was offered to us for 8m. He's a Belgian International and was reckoned to be the better of the two in his strike partnership with Benteke. Also QPR offered us Taarabt.

But the Chuckle Brothers are in the smut business not the oil business and money doesn't buy immediate success. Just ask Tony Fernandes after the last January window.

I disagree. Razak and Armero will play, as should Nocerino. If a cart-horse of a captain is better than him then something's wrong.

And if it's not enough to keep us up then so be it, we've been there before. I'm no fan of the owners but only by stubbornly sticking with Allardyce. They also have to look at the bigger picture. They've spent nothing on transfer fees. Should we go down there would be a problem as QPR have discovered and as I say, throwing cash at the problem is no guarantee of success. Fulham have spent 12m on a risk. I still think they'll be right in the mix come May.

my thoughts as well mate on the tweeking of our team, with the new players and the fit again's we look a better side and should push on from here, the rest is up to BS ( team selections and tactics)

the raw material is good enough!
