Is the league cup still classed as a major honour?

Now that we have 2 diddies in the final , with aberdeen hoping for their first trophy of the century and their fellow chookter's ICT, hoping to add to their trophy count this century - is it time we stop pretending this trophy has any meaning?

I don't think the likes of Killie, st mirren, and Ict /ssb have been great teams tbh

A trophy which all senior clubs enter is certainly a major trophy.
A diddy cup is only played between lower league clubs and is called the ramsdens

    Cringeworthy post

Coming from a fan of a club who re-name parts of their ground for nearly winning trophies

The fair play stand came with that when we won that award (an award created for our wonderful support ) and was renamed "the Jim McLean fair play " in 2011. Nearly winnng a Uefa cup before rangers and Celtic nearly won it was an achievement . Maybe one day aberdeen will nearly win it but I don't think so somehow
