If it highlights the stupidity of a stupid law then maybe it has some merit albeit the lyrics aren't appropriate for singing at a football ground. But then that daft law seems to want to do away with football rivalry.

The Tims have brought all of them upon themselves. Their "It's political, not religious!" nonsense was always going to come back to haunt them.

If religion has no place at the football then neither does politics. This is obviously despite the fact that religion (regular genuflection by RC players) and politics (minutes silences for certain political leaders and the constant corruption at UEFA/FIFA) definitely DO play a part in modern fitba.

Sir Walter's views on this are quite simple.

Everyone, even s(umbags that support terrorist murder, has the right of freedom of expression. I'm as entitled to say they are s(umbags as much as they are entitled to sing Roll of Honour. That's what a free country is all about is it not?

Snobs' law has no place in a modern democratic free society, and won't exist in Scotland should it ever become such a thing.

My contempt for the SNP government, Snobs' Law and the aforementioned s(umbags is pretty much equal. And I will continue to say so, while I'm still free to do so.

And don't give me the no place at a football match cr@p, that is a side issue of much less importance.

In conclusion though, the SNP government are much more dangerous to free society than that bunch of jumped up pseudo intellectuals and their damage is likely to be much more long-lasting if they continue to get away with infringing civil liberties at the drop of a police and media campaign.

Regular genuflection by RC players????? Must confess I've never seen that done. But I've seen players many times point to the sky as though some superior being is involved. And that's never been an issue with any football authorities afaik - apart from complaints when a player in the SPL "blessed" himself coming off the pitch against Rangers FC - something he'd been doing in matches for years apparently. Ref gave him a second yellow card for it. There were also rumours of RFC player

You haven't seen RC players crossing themselves before and during football matches?

    Interesting.

Great how they wanted all the songs the Rangers fans sing to be banned, now theirs are getting banned and they can't handle it.

Good song but not appropriate for the football match
