from the mirror... Both parties will choose one person each to sit on a three-man panel.

A third will have to be agreed upon.

Does anyone know whether this arbitration effectively means the red card is suspended until the arbitration completes?

If so this might mean that Carroll was available for Villa and Norwich, I cant see the arbitration draggnig on much longer.

I'm still a little uncomfortable over this. I dont think it was a red card but others probably interprete the look on Carrolls face (which rightly looked p155ed off) as intent.

It just feels messy and a little weak on our part, however taking the moral high ground seems out of fashion in football nowaday, especially with cheats like flores plying their trade, poor referring and faceless review panels.

The arbitration's at 11. The club will know this afternoon. They won't pursue it further so if they lose, Carroll misses the next 3 starting tomorrow.

The reason they make it three is so that you will end up with a decision. If you had twelve, how long would it take to herd them together and they'd never make their mind up. Even with the mysterious panels of 3, they often take ten hours to come up with a decision.

The problem will be WH & SC won't agree on who the third person should be as most credible football experts have already made their opinions known on the subject

I believe they are not going to arbitrate as to whether it was a red card or not, but arguing on a technicality re the appeal.

It is encouraging that they have acted so quickly...concerned maybe that their is something wrong with their procedures and we will sue them Tevez style if we go down?

Or if we win and avoid the drop we'll get sued Tevez-style by the 3 clubs relegated. I think the Blunts took us for £25m last time round?

I can understand we will have a representative on the panel but why are Swansea on it?
