    'Well beaten 3-1 by United

No complaints, the better team won. Just as well we have 6 points and a game in hand over them - view external link

Poor stuff, first half especially. Shot ourselves in the foot. Second half was an improvement and we made a game of it, thought we were a bit unlucky with they're third goal...And that ref was an absolute goat.

No complaints about the result we were well beaten. Our defence and fitness left a lot to be desired for, that's putting it mildly. No doubt the Happy a Clappy Brigade will argue that we played better in the second half and positives should be taken therefore but in reality it was a case of United taking their foot off the gas once they were 3-0 up and had the points in the bag more than anything else.

No positives for me but tbh it's one of those games that (hopefully) in a good season is just written off with little consequence. Between the absentees, playing folk who weren't fit, the attitude to the press before the game and the fact United are picking up again and needed the win more than us, I never thought we'd have a chance.

It's a shame for those who made the trip obviously but so long as we take a point (or more) on Tuesday and beat Hearts, this game is an irrelevance.

I didn't think there was that much in the game, they took there chances we didn't, the ref must be a night club bouncer in his day job, Carswell fouled around 3 times before Hutchy tried pass back, Hammell slapped on the face at the corner, Lasley nearly knocked Rankin out with a flying elbow, point being we were bullied in the first half. Where was the rest of the wall at their 3rd goal?, is that down to the keeper?
we had as much chances, just not clinical enough and should have had at least one possibly two penalties, hey if Stephen Craigan says its a stonewaller then its a stonewaller!

positive's at least we have a new player

Too many players simply weren't fit and the referee gave us very little. United were the better team and deserved to win but really all 3 of their goals had a touch of good fortune about them. I though Iain Vigurs was the victim of the worst refereeing decision we've had this season - a stonewall penalty waved away.

In the first half we just didn't compete and totally lacked confidence.

A night to forget. The one redeeming feature was the performance of Craig Reid. A great debut.

Every "Big" team has a bogey wee team, it just so happens that Dundee Utd are our bogey wee team, and being positive It looks like Partick are the Sheepmen's bogey.

What's all this about people not being fit and too many injuries?
We had 2 weeks off before the Partick game.
Surely the 'unfit' lads should have been rested, and knowing what positions needed cover, SM and his coaches should have been bringing some of the youngsters into the squad with every intention of blooding them.
The way we played, it looked like we expected to lose, so why not play some decent kids to give them experience?
