    My Dear Walter TS,

    I know you have you head set against Scottiush self determination,But consider,

    If Scotland decides to stay in the Union there ARE certain things we can be absolutely sure of

    The Scottish Government will have to operate on a much reduced budget The cuts in public spending in England will affect the block grant Scotland receives, and will cost us dearly. Further, the block grant is highly likely to be scrapped, and whatever replaces it will not be to Scotland's benefit. However, we will still pay the same amount to Westminster These measures will gravely affect out ability to run our devolved responsibilities as we would choos and wil threaten our NHS and our educational system - particularly free tertiary education. It is almost certain that we would be so short of funds that we would have no choice but to follow England into the privatisation of these services.

    The problem is that all the social engineering so beloved of lefty hand wringers is slowly bankrupting the nation, its all very well demanding more and more from the state but there comes a point where its simply not feasible.

    An example being state pensions, great idea when it first came in, there were roughly 30 people in paid employment for every 1 person entilted to a pension.

    Now there are 3

    Its unsustainable and it has to change.

    You might not care for the tories but at least give them credit for addressing the issues.

    Sorry fellow its really about the priorities of a society, What do you invest your countries wealth in building an sustainable infrastruture, making sure there is pension provision, An NHS free at the point of need, education acsessible for all ? or do we fritter away our resourses on Neclear bombs, Tax cuts for the rich (whilst 1 in 4 kids live in poverty) following a neoliberal statagy Labour /Tories, or do we go in a different direction, and meet the needs of Scotland,
