    Pre Steve & now!

Prior to Steve McLaren joining the Rams we had a record of: 3 wins 3 draws & 4 losses
    18 goals for & 17 against.
Since then we have a record of: 15 wins 4 draws & 3 losses 42 goals for & 23 against.

And who said him coming on board wouldn't make a difference.

You can see the differences game by game.

Take today for example. If that had been Nigel at the helm then nothing much would have changed at half time, substitutions wouldn't have been considered until the 70th minute. Even then it would probably have been a like for like change and maybe a minor formation change at a push. We'd have held on for a point, probably lost and Nigel's post match interview would have been a string of 'erms' punctuating a general moan about players not doing their jobs properly.

But Steve saw we were being outplayed in the first half and made two positive changes at half time to give us more impetus going forward, taking pressure off the defence at the same time. It was a bold move. Clough would have been more cautious.

The result was that we won. Only just... But we won. We won because the MANAGER did his job.

    Quite simple really.

The difference is that pre-Steve we'd have all been overjoyed with finishing the season in 6th place. Now we'll all feel a tiny pang of disappointment if we 'only' finish 3rd.

That's an incredible record so far. Anyone who says he has not made a difference is in my opinion an idiot. There is no way in hell Nigel Clough would have done this well.

Not saying people who dont think steve has done a great job "are" idiots, just that in my opinion they are.

Are non of you factoring like for like, against top 6, bottom 6 etc. Add that all up and we will be lucky to avoid relegation. FACT (sort of)
