" Michel Platini today unveiled his new "week of football" revolution - and then revealed England voted against it.

Platini's plan will mean the Euro 2016 qualifiers will be spread over six nights a week from Thursday to Tuesday to try and make international football more attractive for TV.

ex-France star Platini says England and Germany were two of the three nations out of the 54 to vote against it. Platini also said Scotland and Republic of Ireland helped come up with the plan."

Games will be played between Thursday's and Tuesdays.

U E F A are the ones as well that are telling the countries when and what day they will play.

Its already upset the n irish that they will have to play a home game on a sunday.
Apparently very little if any football gets played on a sunday in northern Ireland for the past 60 years.
