re: Salmond sticking his nose into England's affairs

Is this the same Alec Salmond who was First Minister a couple of years back when the m8 froze and was blocked in both directions leading to people spending all night in their vehicles or was that a different Alec Salmond?

Seem to remember his transport minister resigning over that farce

No mate that wasn't him. Or the other one for that matter.

The real Alex Salmond disappeared off the scene like an Aberdonian on a flag day.

And as you rightly say, his Transport Minister took the rap.

But of course, we all want Alex Salmond to lead an independent Scotland - don't we?

Here's me thinking this referendum was about self governance. I didnae realise we were voting on any 1 party governing post independence.

    Ach well.

Opinion Poll in the P & J today

    17 per cent Yes

    65 per cent No

    18 per cent Undecided.

Looks like Salmond is managing to alienate just about everybody at the moment.

Salmond should just say nothing, Cameron and his mates are making an erse of it themselves.

Some of Salmonds recent stuff has a very end of term feel to it.

All political careers end in failure according to Winston Churchill ye ken.

I think Salmond has played it as well as he can for now, but there's still some mileage to go. I'm pro- independence but I think it will be a no vote. Simply too many sh*tebags feart to give up what they accept for what they could aspire to achieve.
