I saw a nationalist posting, "Economics has nothing to do with the referendum" online the other day.
That's the sort of people we're dealing with here. They care more about romantic nationalist notions than people having jobs.

Meanwhile unionists tell us we are over dependant on our financial sector.
Which is it?
A rebalancing of the economy over time might not be a bad thing. Of course none of these companies have actually said they are leaving. They are going to decide their position based on negotiations. On one side of the negotiations we have faslane, the national debt, the balance of payments and the strength of sterling based in oil, damage to English exporting companies, etc etc. on the other side we have erm... darling, brown, the threat of UKIP, the Tories all of whom have done their best to feck the Scottish economy for decades. Of course brown, darling and the heroic banks managed to feck the entire UK economy. Osborne has managed to increase the national debt and it is taa level now it is probably unplayable. I don't suppose the No folk like to talk about Standard and Poors comments on independence.
I find it depressing and irritating that the Unionists take so much delight in talking down Scotland's chances if there's a YES vote. It's a tremendous shame that so many of them are so down on the notion of independence that they grasp any straw in the attempt to belittle Scotland, Scotland's economy and Scotland's people.
Scotland would do at least as well as the rest of the UK in the case of independence, there are many reports, from independent, neutral organisations to show this. Plus, the inward investment to Scotland has been higher than the UK's overall recently, companies would not come in if they were scared of independence.
Get real guys, try arguing the positives of the union, not some perceived negatives of independence.
There is the positive of hearts and Dundee. Being relegated to the Northern Premier League and playing Halifax and Goole![]()
