To have any retailer closed on a weekend is plain stupid.
As every man and his dog knows Retails busiest day is a Saturday.
Why Rufc keep getting this wrong is beyond me.
Feels like someone needs a good shake to wake up.![]()
Went to the club shop this morning and it was closed, several other people were there aswell, surely to open the shop for 4 hrs on non match days would cost a max of A£75 each for two staff.
I decided to hang around for half hour at this is what I found:
38 people turned up,14 wanted clothing/merchandise at A£40 per person=A£560
6 wanted corporate at A£55 plus vat =A£396
8 wanted various home tickets =A£240
10 wanted various away tickets=A£310
TOTAL=A£1506-00 in 30 mins
Thanks to all who spoke to me...and yes that may have been a busy period, but if only half of that was taken in the next 30 mins then were still talking about two grand an hour!!.Mr Stewart and co have gave us our dream but surely to progress then the club shop has to be open 6 days a week.

I agree and what makes matters worse is that the club shop website is a nightmare if you want to buy anything.
Obviously jokers who run the place, they open 9 til 5 when people are working and can't get there.
I would have been down today for England U18s ticket and wanting to look at the new t-shirts but obviously they don't want to make money
As the club first posted the opening hours some 18 months ago maybe they should now offer a free backside-wiping service.
Yes I'm aware of the opening hours that's why I didn't go but the point is its a free weekend and they should have considered opening (who runs a retail business and don't open on a Saturday?) I will still get my tickets but more than likely won't get the t-shirts now:/
If they don't want to pay the extra money out for staff, try closing for half a day in week then opening Saturday mornings, don't have to have brains to work it out
I can wipe my own back side thank you but unfortunately due to work cannot get to the shop until Saturday sometimes... As like many others it seems, hence the 37 others plus myself in a half hour period, this ain't rocket science,it's revenue that the club is missing out on
It seems that this part of the Club is run unprofessionally indeed![]()
A Shop needs to be open to make money or have a great Online outlet to ease the burden of out of Hours demand.
Great idea i have but still they dont contact me!
Oh and this is from someone who is backed by big sponsors.
