Wigan, a team to be feared

In the play offs, they beat Man city yesterday, they are starting to look very strong and are looking good for a play off place, I had Wigan for automatic promotion at the start of the season

TBH, if Leicester go up through the two automatic slots (as looking likely) the other slot will go to either Burnley or Q.P.R (likely to be Burnley)

Then realistically it's between, Q.P.R, Derby, Forest, Wigan, Reading or Brighton for the remaining slot through the play-offs.

Out of the above teams, it's difficult at this stage to look beyond Wigan, they look very strong.

So, from the teams missing out it would seem Q.P.R and Forest would find the thought of another season in this league the most challenging, especially due to FFP.

IMO, for Forest it would be the worst scenario, no parachute payments (like Q,P,R) but with an overspend on transfers and player salaries from the previous season, compounded by a manager that would want to b

If we don't get something on tuesday we could be out of the top 6 because wigan and reading will win and that puts us 7th, it is going to be very hard to win the play offs if we get there. no manager would like all the injuries we have had and QPR had a lot thats why they had a blip, you cannot blame BD all the time because it is a collective f..k up. wigan played well no doubt about that but in reality it was 2 f..k ups by city players, ie the keeper should have shouted at clichy that a player was on him, and giving away a penalty was unnecessary. the truth is if you only get 2 chances and take them you will win

I had Reading as auto promotion favourites together with QPR at the start. I always knew Wigan would be very dangerous and could clinch promotion but felt their Europa League exploits would take its toll. And so it proved.

However with their elimination, they are now able to focus entirely on promotion and have come good at just the right moment (although it could also be just a wee bit too early)

Unlike our 2 previous play-offs under Davies, we went into them believing we had a chance. Unless we recover sufficiently with key players back, we will go in this time (if we make it) as clear outsiders.

QPR are still a tough nut to crack at Loftus Road. Reading can beat anyone anywhere and Wigan have always in recent years, had our number. If we get Derby, both clubs will feel they have a chance in a 1 off Wembley final. If both of us get 1 of those 3 (now looking like Wigan and QPR), and having a 2 legged affair with no away goals rule, I cannot recommend any serious wager on either of

Reading are very up and down for me but are still in with a shout good shout,
    Leicester
    Burnley
    Qpr
    Wigan
    Derby
    Forest

we have tough games approaching and still riddled with injuries, 6th place for us seems likely given our current situation,

3 to 6, any position is immaterial. We had played the home leg last and first the last time we made it and it didn't change anything.

In fact I'd rather we played home first and garner a win to take to the 2nd leg.

We must learn to win ugly at home and avoid defeat away. It all boils down to that. More shots on goal please and less of trying to lay the perfect pass for a finish.

A draw at Boro would be reasonable, defeat troubling but still bearable. Defeat or draw with Donny - would be very troubling and possibly crippling. If we can beat Donny at home we have no chance with Derby away, given their reasonable home form.

Just go and park the damn bus at Boro, try to eke a goal and cl

    Park the bus at Boro????

Its WAY past those kind of tactics for us now I`m afraid if we have any aspirations this season.

We need a dramatic boost in confidence that only all out attack can bring. Get 2 up top Billy and keep attacking once in front!

We don't have to fear anybody because we won't be in the play offs. Signings have been abysmal apart from Paterson. When all the injuries kicked in our lack of activity in the transfer and loan market was laughable. Who is Billy boy blaming this time because he's been given plenty of cash to invest. He,is an obnoxious, uncouth ignorant little toad lacking in class and know how. Good night and goodbye.
