    Tonight's Line-up

How do you think we will line up tonight?

Hughes is wasted in the deeper role like Saturday, Hendrick doesn't seem the same player as last season and if we go 433 Saturday showed that Martin is key to that.

Bamford for me is wasted out wide and doesn't offer much from the start, same goes for Sammon...they are both more effective from the bench when defences are tired and dropping deep meaning Sammon can run around and Bamford can find the little pockets of space that open up.

For me it is time for Thorne to get a start, my line-up for tonight...

Grant - Wisdom Keogh Buxton Forsyth - Bryson Thorne Hughes - Russell Martin Dawkins

Legzdins, Whitbread, Eustace, Hendrick, Ward, Bamford, Sammon

Bringing Thorne in should free up both Hughes and Bryson to be more of a threat going forward as well as having the passing ability to start attacks rather than Hughes having to drop deep to take the ball off the CB's or Eustace when he plays there. We need to get the passing quicker and sharpe

we shouldn't panic. lets not forget we were robbed at burnley. we lost to milwall despite having a hatful of chances and probably our most key player (martin) unavailable. so for me it's back to basics inc Eustace and up front dawkins Russell and martin. 4-3-3 or 4-1-2-3 depending on how you see it. I'd get rid of grant but that's just me :-P

I'm not sure we had a hat full of chances against Millwall but I agree we shouldn't panic. However, what worries me is that we've started to struggle at home. Quite apart from the Millwall game I think most people will agree we got out of jail against Bournemouth and Yeovil.

Bolton are seem to be one of the form teams and there's a real risk that we could go 5 games without a win after the Forest game.

    Just want a performance tonight.

Could handle a draw even, provided we look like we can create decent chances and score a few again.

2nd's gone, lets set our stall out to go for teams over the remaining games

off the top of my head both dawkins and sammon had 1 on 1's and Keogh missing that header from 5 yards out at the death. that should be enough to get a goal or two. then again with sammon not being able to hit a barn door...

as for me old mate lee grant triz, if he'd like to go anywhere else I'd happily drive him to a destination of his choice. I hear inverness cally thistle is nice at this time of year.

A very tough game in prospect.

Hughes and Bryson in centre mid are instrumental in making Derby tick and opening up the opposition.

I'd have Martin back up top and Eustace back in def midfield.

We need to be at our best and score early. A clear victory is required but that is a big ask against a resurgent Bolton.

One for Dawkins, one for Sammon and one for Keogh doesn't constitute a hat full. I agree with Mac, we could have played for another 2 days and still not scored. That wasn't down to bad luck or good saves we simply didn't create enough decent goal scoring chances I just hope we get it sorted tonight.

We have struggled to create chances since conceding the two late goals against Birmingham.

Before those goals we were playing attacking football and trying to have go at teams, it seems by trying to tighten up and stop conceding we have lost something.

That's why McClaren talked about getting 'the balance right' However it seems that balance still isn't right, perhaps we don't have the players to get that balance?

So should we just go back to attack attack attack?

Personally, I think the attack mentality is exactly what we should reapply. Aside from QPR we haven't really beaten a quality team with a more defensive stance although we have lost now to Millwall.
