    Tougher Season Next Year?

assumptions are the mothers of all f#ck-ups, but i can't see either leicester or burnley not automatically qualifying for the prem.

if they replace the two worst teams (in my opinion cardiff and fulham), i can see it being much harder to get points than it has been this season.

if that is the case, we won't have the luxury of being able to play half a season misfiring again, waiting for a key member to return from injury.

well i would hardly call firing on half cylinders a luxury, and if anything they should have learnt from this season and not allow ourselves to be in the same next.

Should never go into a season without decent back up, and like you say, next we might suffer if we do.

Don't see it being too much different next year tbh, or the year after that, and the year after----.

There will be the big guns competing for the Champs League places. Liverpool's emergence and Man Ure's potential failure to qualify for next season ( ) has, at least, meant we can't automatically guarantee the top 4.

Then there'll be those chasing the Europa League places, Spurs, Everton and maybe Southampton if they can keep their key players.

And they'll be followed by the rest of us. Scrambling for points against each other and hoping to pick up the occasional "bonus" like a point at Stamford Bridge.

Judging from the standard in some of the games I've seen this season (I use the word "standard" in it's loosest possible sense ) there's not too much difference between half the PL and a lot of teams in the Chump. I think we pretty much demonstrated that last season and Hull, for example, are doing much the same this.

That said unfortunately Burnley's budget will proba

Difficult to predict but clubs with money tend to do better, QPR being the exception thanks to the ineptitude of Fernandes. Leicester therefore should do ok.

Of the rest it will be difficult. If QPR make it they'll face a massive fine, so they and the other serious contenders will probably be fighting relegation.

Although Cardiff won on Saturday, they and Fulham look odds-on to go down. No-one up to 10th (that 's us) is safe but the way the fixtures have fallen it looks as though the last spot is between Sunderland, West Brom, Norwich and Palarse. Whoever survives you would think would struggle again next season.

So the league of two halves will continue. We have to aim to be top of the second half. Depressing but a fact.

leicester don't appear to have that many bigs (unlike qpr), but yet are blitzing the league. without knowing the ins and outs of the club, that would suggest that they are a well oiled unit at the moment, from players through to management.

might also mean they have a bit of extra coin to splurge next season.

They've got big backing from the far-east mate and unlike that **** Tan let the manager get on with it. They'll spend very wisely I reckon, just like Dull did this season so they'll be a mid-table team.

A tad pessimistic given our current form. Provided we don't loose our defensive shape and with the emergence of Adrian, we pose one of the best defensive fronts in the league.

Hopefully G,S & B won't leaves us without a decent cover striker for AC and hopefully he doesn't miss more than half the season. A lot of hopefulness, but if we maintain or improve on 10th this season then that leaves 6 other teams worse off than us to start. Bright side en all!!!
