    Tony Benn: RIP

    Very sad loss indeed.

A great Socialist and Christian who had enormous dignity and compassion for his fellow man.

Although i never met him, i would have loved to have done...he was one of the most intelligent politicians and came across as a nice man..certainly not a warmonger...i used to deliver papers around wingerworth and hoped to one day meet him if only for a minute but not to be..one of the last of a dying breed of right minded people ...

Tony Benn was one of the nicest men you could hope to meet. Polite, courteous and never condescending. To say that he will be sadly missed in this time of grubby politics is a massive understatement.

Agree with his politics or not you had to admire his conviction. Clegg, Cameron and Milliband will do or say anything to win a vote and they wonder why so many people are turned off from their brand of politics.

We need more people like Benn to come in to politics. People who will say what they think rather than what the spin doctors tell them and delight in challenging the establishment.

    RIP to a great man.

RIP. One that could inspire us to think we could have a better world than just accept we all have to bow down to "market forces".
