    Important not to lose today

Say the gathering teams behind us had won they're current games in hand the table would look like this. (Only Wigan play leicester in the top 8)

    QPR got Sheff Wed away.
Wigan got Yeovil and Leicester at home
    Brighton got Blackpool away

    1. Leicester 77
    2. Burnley 70
    3. QPR. 63
    4. Derby. 62
    5. Wigan. 61
    6. Forest. 56
    7. Brighton. 56
    8. Reading. 55

There's only us playing another team in the mix today so it's important not lot lose. It we do it could look like this:-

    1. Leicester 80
    2. Burnley 73
    3. QPR. 66
    4. Wigan. 64
    5. Derby. 62
    6. Forest. 59
    7. Brighton. 59
    8. Reading. 58

If we do lose... the game against the dogs is the most important one I've known in ages!

I stated before the Brighton games that it's far more important winning (not even drawing) games against the chasing pack than picking up points against the top six. At that point some were on the point of claim a play off place assured!

However what has happened since has made such fixtures doubly important as losing points I teams in the bottom six where the foundation had been built has shown cracks.

You have to question now how much this over confidence in some quarters has/will put unrealistic pressure as expectation on the team.

Especially when you take the same teams Clough had to play and mcclaren can only EQUAL the points total Clough did against the same teams and that's if we beat florest!

All down to one rat. Haven't posted on here for ages and that is the reason why. Can't we get rid?

Anway, back to the post. Good point today. Got my tickets for next week's clash. This match could define the season. Now Eustace has got 10 points, I'd like to see Thorne given a run out. Hope Hughes is fit.

Up the Rams. Down with dogs. Out with rats.
