Surely a hernia op is just shoving whatever poked out back in with a finger, stitch, heal, back on the pitch. No idea if thats all thats involved due to pure ignorance and being too lazy to look it up, but in my head in works. 4-6 weeks?

Espinoza out injured now
Uwe Rosler has today confirmed that Honduras international midfielder Roger Espinoza has travelled to Munich to undergo a hernia operation following Sunday's game against Manchester City.Speaking in his pre-Ipswich Town interview, Rosler revealed:"Roger has been operated on in Munich this morning with a hernia problem."We expect him to be back pretty soon and hopefully he will be involved in some games before the end of the season.
