Why should they not at least get the opportunity to sell them?
Average gates have nothing to do with "neutral" occasions.
It's typical former old firm mentality to want every advantage going.

Why? Their average attendance is around 8,000 this season. Basically they want to take along 12,000 glory ***ter for a day out.
Give the tickets to the real fans who go and support their team every week!

Yeah, how dare they ask for (not even) half the tickets for a supposedly 'neutral' game

The Rangers will only be wanting about 20k as well then will they?
Hope United pump them 10-0

Think 20K will be enough for the tribute act. - view external link

I'll wait for someone who knows how to post a picture to post one of the numerous times ibroke has been half empty so far this season.
You seriously think splitting the fans 43,000-8,000 is fair for a semi final at a 'neutral' ground which happens to be your own? (I use the term "your own" loosely - who knows who owns it these days)

If Aberdeen played Dundee United in the final, we'd all be perfectly ok with a 50/50 split.
Never sure why former old firm fans adopt the mentality they should get the lion's share regardless.
The concept of "neutrality" seems alien to them, and I think it's because a lot of people that support the former old firm (especially those from nowhere near Glasgow) were bullied at school and latching on to a weegie team was the only way they could feel important in their own tiny minds.
