    Fawaz Backing Billy Krankie

Back page of today's Notts Post; Read between the lines. Do I detect a wobble? He seems to be saying that BD hasn't targeted any players and ought to have done so, given the injury crisis. A bit of fore-shadowing maybe, in anticipation of BD's call to be backed in the transfer market when things don't go well?

It's no secret that Mr Fawaz is an admirer of Nigel Clough and Sheffield Utd's surge and cup run will not have gone unnoticed.

Would be a monster pay off to get rid of him this summer, considering all his entourage!

Fawaz has sort of backed hoimself into a corner with his words at the time of making him "his new Fergie". So, we'll see what happens

Personally, I hope he doesnt go and get a decent manager, as he seems to have the money to back them. At least we all know Billy and money doesnt gell...well unless its in a payoff!

Quite clearly despite the 4 year contract, if BD doesn't get the trees up, he will be down the road come May. This is clearly Fawaz spelling it out.

Well I guess his judgement is not that good to bring him back in the first place, so there is no guarantee any future appointment will be better.

After all if he had played his cards right McClaren could be taking Forest up now!

Not sure how you think that would have happened. I don't think Steve would have returned to the CG after walking out on us during Mr Doughty's tenure.

    Can you explain your reasoning?

After reading that my interpretation is the same as your's Ella.
Fawaz seems to be calling Billy's bluff, maybe he has studied previous chairman related divisive Billy comments about no investment. Last time around Billy managed to help convince deluded Forest fans that their chief benefactor Nigel Doughty was to blame for his bottling it.
This time he has no such argument and Fawaz has got in first, he has proved that he is willing to put his money where his mouth is! Billy on the other hand with his infantile media ban is just running out of support.
