    Govan Asda

I'm away off to Govan Asda. get back in plenty of time for the match starting.

    I'm hoping to get:

Mixed Grill "platter", baked beans (for my brunch)

Steak, courgette, tomatoes and mushrooms (for my tea)

Porridge, bananas, apples, oranges (for day time consumption mon-weds)

salmon and veg (for evening meal mon + tues)

Chicken and veg (for evening meal weds)

and that's basically it to be honest, might get a wee treat like a chocolate bun or something to have with a wee cup of tea later on tonight but that'll be it, nothing else.

The american range they have in the fresh chicken breast meal section just now; buffalo chicken, Cajun chicken and Louisiana chicken is top drawer for a supermarket meal. 3 for a tenner.

The Cajun chicken is fantastic and as you say 3 for a tenner is great value I sometimes get it when she's on a late shift

I'll have a look, kinda just looking plain fillets to put in my steamer along with the veg though.

Survived that not too bad. Things got a bit hectic when I couldn't find the cereal aisle but other than that I did not bad.

I'm only 4'11 so sometimes get it tight off folk laughing at me with my big basket but was ok today.

Couldn't get a mixed grill thing. Morrisons in erskine had this pack where you get wee pork fillet, couple burgers some link sausages an i tiny wee bit of rump steak. Asda mustn't do that type of thing.

Might start doing that, need to be careful though some of the local butchers in Glasgow look pretty grim.

We have an excellent butcher and a new one just opened yesterday that is award winning. The missus and I had double loin lamb chops fae it last night and they were superb.
