last i heard rangers liquidated came back as a newco and got a place in div 3 as an unqualified club, while the oldco was found guilty of cheating while knowingly doing so but the club was allowed to keep its tropies despite cheating for them.

also in 2011 the sfa gave rangers a licence to play in europe while they were not paying bills so were unqualified.
