    Away Day Review

This was a match I have been looking forward to, well the social side anyway.

My mates and I left Andover just after 9, train to that London, both my daughters were also on the train, one going to College and the other on a school trip to London. On arrival at London Waterloo we then got the tube to go to Euston, unfortunately someone had fallen under a train which meant the service being disrupted, we therefore got off and walked to Euston.

As we had about 20 minutes before our train departed we headed for the pub on Euston Station, bad move as it was Ai4.70 a pint ffs.

We then caught the 11.20 to Manchester, arriving at 1.27, a whole one(1) minute early.

Once out of Piccadilly Station we went into the nearby Wetherspoons to work out the many nationalities of the Man United fans in there, at one point I did detect a Mancunian accent, I therefore deduced he must have been a City fan.

After a quick pint we walked across the city to check-in at our hotel in the Printworks area of Ma

My away day the other week with pics.

I woke up early and decided to go for a walk in the park.

As I was admiring the flora I heard the clip-clop of horses, i turned round to see a soldier boy fall off his 'orse and onto his erse.

Oh how I laughed. The brisk walk had made me hungry and not wishing to return to my digs for some healthy continental brekkie I headed into Knightsbridge to look for a Wetherspoons for a full english. It was a strange neighbourhood, there was a shop selling cars with prancing horse badges (just like the soldier boys horse).

Anyway I was lost but my sharp eye spotted a bus going to Putney Bridge so I dived aboard, on arrival the pubs were still closed, so I went to a greasy spoon cafe, breakfast was 4 quid something, a plate of chips 1.40 and 80p for a tin of coke.

Greasy spoons don't do receipts, they don't do accountants either.
