    Lions heading back to Lisbon!

    Excellent stuff!

Scotland's greatest ever football team should never be forgotten.

    Greatest ever.

CELTIC Football Club today announced that it has invited the 1967 European Cup-winning team and representatives of the team management and backroom staff to Lisbon at the end of May for this yeara??s UEFA Champions League final. This is the first time the European final has been held in Lisbon since Celtic lifted the trophy in 1967.

During the weekend visit to Lisbon, the team will attend the UEFA Champions League final, they will visit the Estadio Nacional, the scene of their greatest victory and will be guests at a special dinner at the famous Palacio Hotel in Estoril, where they stayed in 1967.

The Lions will also be officially welcomed by representatives of Lisbon and will present a significant charitable donation on behalf of Celtic as thanks to the city for hosting the club and our supporters all those years ago.

See a few of them sporting Teddy Boy haircuts in 1967.

Great pic Danny (as always!) of The Lisbon Lions and I've got a great framed pic signed by 4 of the Lions entitled 'The Final Whistle In Lisbon' which hangs proudly in the house...well in ma wee room/office.

A good gesture by Celtic for the men who made Celtic what they are today.

Exactly, Pogue, the club have called this one right. It's a cracking gesture, and it is probably the last time the remaining Lions will make it to Lisbon.

They'll feel right at home if the winners do it with the benefit of an offside goal.
