    How's this for paranoia?

    From the Telegraph:

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard says West Ham United 'tried everything to upset' push for Premier League title

Liverpool had to master a hot dressing room, a dry pitch and the team bus parking a mile away from the pitch at West Ham, says Steven Gerrard

Steven Gerrard says Liverpool proved they have the steel to go with their skill after coping with an inhospitable trip to West Ham United on Sunday.

Gerrard revealed how the London club "tried everything" to make life as uncomfortable as possible for the Merseyside club, including stopping the team coach parking in its usual spot near the stadium. The Liverpool coach was unable to get close to Upton Park because of congestion, Gerrard suggesting the driver "had to park a mile away". The players were forced to walk and avoid swarms of fans to get to the player's entrance.

The Liverpool captain also noted the unusually hot dressing room and the dry pitch that was unsuited to Liverpool's passing game. Taken t

    I know how he feels.

My wife try's the same tactic to upset me, she's always turning the f.ucking thermostat up and making the lounge unbearably hot. Come to think of it she's also planted some new shrubs out the front which has stopped me parking in my normal spot so I now have to walk all the way up the path instead of just stepping over the old hedge

Once I get in she's throwing dirty linen 70 yards down the stairs into kitchen, there are some f.ucking giant knickers and cardigans with elbows flying everywhere but I show great character to ignore all of this and head toward the kettle. There's dogs licking and woofing and kids running about with crayons but I show real steel to dodge it all.

Last years Bonzo would have sulked and felt sorry for himself but this year I rise above it , make a cuppa and just sit down and switch on Sky Sports News. . .. . . .sorted.

    Bonzo

You forgot to mention whether it was the dog or the kid that had just come back from injury mate, there's nothing worse than an inaccurate or incomplete account of the events...

Don't wanna annoy-ya, with your paranoia...

But actually it's quite interesting and standard-fare psychological behaviour.

From Wembley to Upton Park, the away dressing-room is always vastly inferior, to the home one. Always.

They are specifically arranged that way and some clubs have employed consultants, to ensure that they contribute a negative feeling.

    The space will feel claustrophobic
    The interior colour-scheme is depressing
    Too few toilets
    No luxury fittings
    Minimal storage space
    Basic materials
    Weak/Harsh lighting...take-your-pick
Fixtures and fittings too high/too low
As unpleasant as possible without broaching health-and-safety regs

...yes it's beastly behaviour. God knows, how this plays-out in League 1/2...

I guess Lineker got a dressing room with no toilet or paper then.
