No Wembley date for the Rat

Barring miracles. 4-2 down now - great effort though by Clough's inherited team.

Isnt that the difference between a guy who just inherits a team and a decent manager? Bruce sees the problem and admits he got it wrong making THREE changes at half time. However, 79 minutes 4 - 2 down and Clough STILL sticks to his old mentality of not yet making a substitution.

I don't think too many pundits would agree with you Mickleover. I think most have congratulated Clough on the work he's done at SUFC including getting them to an FA cup Semi (sorry SUFC getting to a Semi DESPITE him).

A for being able to make subs.
Fryatt or Porter? mmm, let me think.
Quinn or Davies? mmm, too close to call.

However, please don't let that get in the way of a jibe at the ex-manager.

Clough had difficult decision with an unfit Porter and the possibility of extra time to think about and limited options in any case.

Whatever his limitations at Derby, he's done a great job in taking them to the semifinals.

Sorry for the late response the giro didn't come through and the metre ran out on the broadband!

Now correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the semi a wembley.

And by all reports sheff United gave a pl team a right good game.

Let's think this through ... A manager inherits a team losing at the bottom of league two and within months gets them to an FA cup semi final giving a pl team a hell of a game in the semi and turns the same team into outside play off contenders but the genius of some on here are claimin he has all the wrong tactics ... Errmmmmmmmm
