    George Thorne's Pass to JR...

...was totally telepathic & the work of a brilliant brain that could see in 4D. Just watched it and it is the pass of a football genius.

I actually thought Bamfords pass against Forest was sublime. Not much has been said about Martins pass with his first touch against either Charlton or Blackpool (i forget who), that was some pass.

But this one from Thorne was up there with the best passes in the game. As you said, he actually took 4 players out the game with the pass.

Quality made better by the fact that a goal resulted.

It was indeed sublime, made even better by Russells exquisite finish. Russell is such a natural finisher and thats exactly the kind of through ball he thrives on. I hope we see a lot more of that from JR in the coming 12 months.

Watching your boys concede late goals to Spuds at the weekend, I really am surprised he's not in your first team right now. More than happy for him to continue with us.

You'd be mad not to want him back. A real gem that one.

I know he's only playing 2nd tier footy at the moment but quality shines through at any level. It reminds me of when we had a young Leon Osman on loan from Everton before he broke into there first team. Came to us and you could see how good he was going to be, and then he went back to Everton and straight into their starting eleven, hasn't looked back since.

No chance of Thorne joining us, I know that. But it would be an incredible bit of business for us if he did. Shame, but he's certainly impressed and won a fair few admirers over here.
