Interestingly Posh have now had a man sent off. Stevenage look down and out at the bottom, as their last chance saloon at Sheffield is not looking good. They trail by a solitary goal.Originally Posted by alexmick

I see that Posh are trailing to Bradford in the evening KO. I would love them to lose, which would mean their game at home to Carlisle on Monday would be more meaningful, with Swindon breathing down their necks. Carlisle are now only one goal to the good (goal difference when compared to the Alex), although they have that one game in hand at Crawley.
Now that Oldham are relatively safe, plus with a game in hand, maybe they will be able to relax on Monday and beat a nervous Coventry side, who are in free fall (3 wins in their last 15 games). They could be a surprise package for the drop. Lose to Oldham and then they have two potentially difficult games remaining against Wolves (H) - going for the top spot and Sheffield (A).

GOOD day for us, one of life's regrets is that I didn't go Shrewsbury despite the offer of a free lift, gah! Well done to the team and the great support.
Feet on the ground time! We still have a massive battle on our hands.
Shrewsbury were pretty dire.
With some exceptions I thought we were OK, but a decent side would have capitalised on our mistakes. However there is a saying that you are only as good as the opposition allow - and what should have been 4 - 0 was still a creditable 3 - 1.
Grant is growing into his role with every game. Pogs is still not the former 'real deal' but I think it will happen; Inman tired; Tootle was immense and my MotM; the back four looked better and more controlled than I have seen, but maybe that was down to Shrewsbury's ineptitude; Garratt is a good, getting better, keeper; Moore is still good going forwards, but incapable of beating his man on the wing and always looking to pass back.
That said, we were a proper team today, and, if we can do something against Colchester then I think we may just be safe - as long as other results are favourable.
I would dearly love to say that we missed that terrier Bi
Very good set of results for us yesterday. Things look a lot brighter all of a sudden. Even more so if on Monday we can do something unusual for us this season and beat a fellow struggler at home.
So with Posh eventually losing last night (1-0), they will have to beat Carlisle on Monday (doing us a massive favour, only if we win that is), as Swindon could well close the gap on them to 1 point come Monday evening. Sheffield winning was also good. It knocks out Stevenage from the relegation fight and gives them the added 'extremely' outside chance of reaching the play-offs. Therefore, with a game in hand besides, they will go to Tranmere with something to play for on Monday. Tranmere's goal difference is deteriorating fast, so if we win and they lose, it will benefit us.
I still reckon that we will need to win on Monday and get a point from the remaining two games. That will give us 50 points. 49 points might not be enough. However, can we finally win at home? It has been a long, long time since that last happened. February 1st 2014 to be exact.
