Never realised how close we came to dropping out of the football league and, possibly, the 'end'. A few weeks back when Richie Barker was sacked did we all realise that we'd need 4 straight wins to get out of trouble ? Apologies If I'm the only one but I never realised that it would take 12 out of 12 points just to feel confident of survival. Phew !!!

That may be true. But give us another 4-5 games we're be in the play-offs.

When we lost at Rochdale I really thought we were Conference bound. The thought of all those Scummers licking their lips at the thought of us going to Eastleigh and Salisbury, perish the thought. Not before time the board got rid of the worst Pompey manager of my life time. Awfs comes in and Bingo, 12 points from 12. Adder always said we would be fine even he couldn't have envisaged 4 wins from 4 though

to be honest it doesn't bare thinking about where we would be if mr barker was still here,we have a decent squad of players at pompey,quite obvious now that he wasn't the right man,and massive congratulations to andy awford for turning it around and giving the players belief and confidence,play up pompey,

Daz - just take 12 points away from where Pompey are now, and see where they could have ended up! In all honesty, we may well have got one win and a draw instead with another Manager, but as you and others suggest it doesn't bear thinking about, innit?
