He's realised he isn't as good as folk were telling him. He's found his level and feels safe playing for a lower division club and knows he'll get regular football because him and Nige have a special bond!![]()

Interesting comments!
Two questions for me this raises:
1. Moved because of working with Clough. Is this a poke in the eye to all the unsubstantiated Clough poor man management theorists?
2. Fallen in love with the club. He wasnt prepared to stay at Derby (even tho he loves working with the manager at the time) to move up one division but is prepared to drop two division as he loves the club. For any player this has to be the fans and the way the club is run higher up than the manager as we know this wasnt the case. Hesatyed under Glick but left under Rush?
Two discussion point that I think are very valid there! - view external link

1. Brayford has always played his best football under Clough so it's no wonder that he would relish the chance to link with him again on a professional level. It will help him reignite his career.
Not sure it will quell any Clough poor man management theories though - for every Brayford there is a Commons, Bailey, Green, Varney or a Tyson that can be used as a counter argument.
2. It's not unusual for a loan player to pledge allegiance to his temporary employers, especially if his future at his current club is unsure and he wants a bit of stability. Brayford is well in his comfort zone at Sheff Utd. Best player in club, old gaffer, old team mates etc so it makes sense to wax lyrical about his current situation.
As for initially moving to Cardiff I'm not sure he was desperate to move there, the club chose to sell him. He may well have wanted to stay at Derby working with Clough and may even have liked working with McClaren more, who knows?
as if he's gonna give a toss who the clubs CEO is. he left to fulfil his ambition of challenging himself at the highest level (and coincidentally tripling his wages). it didn't work out and so he goes to Sheffield utd where he knows the manager.
I would say you're overthinking it...but you know exactly what you're doing. another poor effort at slurring SR.
as for the clough thing, if he loved him that much he wouldn't have left in the first place!
poor effort. I expect better.
I bet he wouldn't be wanting to play there next season if he wasn't getting paid by Cardiff!

Wow. We can now deduce that Sam Rush is the devil in a goatee and forced Brayford out of the club. Must be true![]()
What a way to try and twist someones words to fit an agenda.
In other and more important and relevant news, Derby could be on the way to sealing third place today. If done it would be a fantastic achievement from the management team. We could have only dreamed of this at the beginning of the season.
Nothing to see here folks. Except some particularly sour grapes and an epic face palm.
