    Moyes sacked after 10 months!

Not a Derby thread granted - but an interesting turn of events given he had a six year contract and he was only 10 months in!

Is Moyes a crap manager or was he shafted by the overachievement of a poor squad last season?

Did Ferguson get out at the right time?

Is this what the Premier League is all about now?

Always on a loser in my opinion.. Fergie left him with a poor team. I know they are champions but the team was in need of major investment.
Never a Moyes fan and again Fergie has to take his share of the blame for the appointment.
Much better managers out there than Moyes.

The 10 million quid will sweeten his tea. Meanwhile back in Derby the 55 crates of food donated by Derby County fans are being distributed.

I'm not so sure about A?10m Ella. As I understand it, whilst he had an initial 6 year contract, if he failed to make Champions League then they only need to pay him off for one year.

So while the decision may have been made back in February, it could not be put into effect until champions league was mathematically impossible - which happened on Saturday.

So he may have to make do with closer to A? 2m. The heart grieves...

If 10 million is what he will get then I would take it and retire to escape the stupidity of the current game.Your chance at glory usually only comes once as did Moyes at Everton.Don Revie was an icon but achieved nowt as manager of England.Moving usually means you lose the loyalty and bonding of the team you create.

I like what the BBC homepage has on it.
The defeat at Everton forced the Glazers to mark the end of an error.
    Very clever.

Always gonna happen, spending 30mill on Fellani then perservering with him when he obviously is not good enough shows that he doesn't have the ability to manage a title challenging side.
