Thorne wants to stay slight refrain

In view of the fact that the original thread has been taken over by the usual rog and rats argument i thought id start a new one

George Thorne would like to stay at Derby if we are promoted, is this because he wants to play for a club run by Sam Rush and an excellent manager!?

It doesn't surprise me that he is interested in signing for Derby if we get promoted.
However does anyone remember when we got promoted while the "Dwarf" was manager, no-one with any talent wanted any part of us as our basic squad was mid championship caliber at best. It's a different story this time, & "IF" we do reach the "Promised Land" I think Derby will find it easier to sign the type of players we may need to keep us there.

Think the Rog/Rat threads are more fun.

I think it will largely depend on what division both clubs are in next season.

You can't dismiss him coming here because he's recently signed a contract, they mean nothing in football these days!

I'd have him in my team whether we go up or not, has looked to be a real quality player and has stepped up to the mark massively considering how much we thought Eustace would be missed.

    I'm a big fan.

It's encouraging to hear that he says he is happy here (tho he'd prob not say otherwise!), but you get the feeling from player interaction and body language that he has settled in well.

Let's hope Pepe Mel doesn't try and convince him to stay and we can sign him regardless.

A full season loan wouldn't be a bad option too, if they wanted daft money for him.
