Thread: Press Coverage

    Press Coverage

Anyone else seething every time Look Leedsford comes on re the football coverage. Absolute disgrace yesterday - not even a mention despite the excellent effort with 10 to win the match. The football league show was no better with no analysis etc. The annoying thing is, as the play-offs happen they will be fawning round us like they are REALLY interested - it makes my blood boil... but then are we better going under the radar and avoiding the hype, bad management and reckless spending like the only place in Look North's one eyed sights. Oh and Gration said the bacon eaters won 'in style' against us!!!! Rant over. I thought we were excellent in the 2nd 1/2 on Monday. The 3 subs looked fresh and made a real impact. Well done Evans.

Radio Sheffield hardly any better. In depth interviews with managers and players of two Sheffield clubs. If Blades had reached play offs I wonder if they would get the same scant coverage afforded to Millers?

Why do people get so wound up about this?

We have been live FM commentary many, many times this season. If anything they have been biased towards us. I just don't understand why our fans feel so under appreciated by Radio Sheffield and the Football League Show. I've watched the Football League show to see Claridge praise our stadum, manager, set-up, chairman and squad. How much more praise can you give then that? Yet some people on here believe he is less then effusive about us and speaks through gritted teeth.

Radio Sheffield are biased, full stop. When they are running down the games (I assume in order of league position) we are always behind Sheff Utd. Their usual pattern is.. Sheff Wed, Doncaster, Barnsley, Sheff Utd, Us, then Chesterfield. Have a listen on Saturday or to any of their sports news bulletins in a morning. 90% of the time we will be behind Sheff U in the line up.

Having said that, do I care, not really. There are highlights on Millers Player to get your teeth into, I don't need to listen to praise from Claridge.

As long as we stay under the radar whilst in the P/Offs, we will be fine, then pop up with a spanking win at Wembley !!!

I would like to listen to them that know what they are talking about and not someone that clearly don't have a clue,

Listen to the highlights against Port Vale when Adams is on the attack Rochdale ?

This is pure bull tbh. Irrespective of league placement we have always had better coverage then Barnsley, Donny and Chessy ever since the Ronnie era when Paul Walker used to hang off every word he uttered. We regularly have a match on AM or FM. Can't ask for more then that.
