    1914 FA Cup Final

Great story about the FA cup final 100 years ago, for anyone interested. Burnley beat Liverpool 1-0.

Brilliant picture of the Liverpool supporters in the horse & cart with their three piece suits & red & white hats on - view external link

Be good to see Burnley back up in the Premiership next season. Well done to them - hardly bought a single player in the past couple of years as well.

love old fitba photos, been on kerrydale street a lot and some of the ones surfacing on that are pre 1900,s of celtic park and it looked a far more sophisticated place than it did in the 1970,s.

what amazes me about old photos is how popular football became in such a short space of time, as proven by the many huge stands and terracing and the crowds they got in relation to the population of the country at that time.

when you think many football grounds of those days were built by volunteers who had more to do with their time then.

Incredible to think that a club of Liverpool's size had to wait until 1965 for their very first FA Cup triumph.

the fa cup for nearly 100 year was spread about so lots of different teams won it, teams could win it then no win it again for decades.

more recently the fa cup has lost its sparkle, not every team takes it serious and although last years winners wigan was a surprise it has been dominated by the same teams for the past 2 decades,ly liverpool, man utd, Arsenal, chelsea.
