    Dugdale is recognised

I noticed that Adam Dugdale was today selected in the L1 team of the weekend (Sunday Mirror).

I think the people who make these teams, don't go and watch the games. I went on Sat and Duggy gave the ball away hundreds of time and Ben did have a good game but relatively little to do. I think they see a clean sheet and think we will put one of their players in the team.

Mark Ellis was by some way the best defender on show on Saturday. Can hardly remember Ben touching the ball!

I take your points regarding the fact that these journalists probably never witnessed the game. The Sentinel actually gave both Dugdale and Ellis a score of 8/10, stating that they formed a strong defensive partnership. The referee for once scored highly...8/10. Hope that we get a good ref at home on Saturday for once.

Was n't there Sat so can't comment on their performances.

In general terms though Duggy has done really well since his recall (and I was one who thought we might miss Harry)...

...and nobody is asking whether the high pressure situation might be too much for Ben anymore.

Couple of instances in the Colchester game where he chose to stick instead of twist and proved he'd learned from the penalties conceded earlier when he perhaps came out a little rashly.

Both done really well of late for me - Ellis too, to be fair.

I wasn't there either, although I too have been pleased with Dugdale since he was once again included in the team. He won't be a world beater, but at least he is a good honest player who was unfortunate to lose his place last time around, through an unfortunate injury.

Garratt has done very well and has now kept several clean sheets. He is letting fewer goals past him as he grows in confidence (of course, the defence a
