Anyone know what Simmo had to say on the phone in tonight?

Heard he was on tonight. Just wondered if he said anything of interest that might not be of general knowledge or presumption already!?!

    Cheers!

Norralot, most of it was just a more detailed variation of what we've heard before (apart from the first thing on the following list); applied for the Carlisle job but took preference over this job (Carlisle didn't offer it him anyway), to build team spirit the players have to celebrate together when we score, they gave the back five double the work load when they first came in, after the Birmingham game the back five spent a whole training session in a meeting with McClaren and Steele.

Yes & No. They want to not risk injury to players like Martin but they want to keep the winning habit & maintain momentum. Notably Simmo said to close the answer "You know you can leave players out of the team on Saturday only for them to get injured in training on the Monday" ie A strong hint that the odd player might get rested {eg Martin} but b

Simmo made some interesting comments on practising penalties - they haven't so far but will be doing so.
However he felt the person to benefit most is the goalkeeper. He felt there is no way to simulate the pressure of the actual event and walking from the halfway line in front of thosuands to take the kick.
