Commons claims quitting Scotland helped his game

what a great example to all aspiring young players who would give anything to play for their country eh?

sellik are a disgrace, if a Gers player had said that , the dhimmy mhedia would have been in a frenzy, also i wonder what Strachan thinks of those comments? no comment from him, no doubt.

"Commons believes quitting international football has been integral to his impressive form and he reiterated his stance when asked if he missed being involved in the Scotland set-up.

a??International football was an unbelievable experience but it was hard to balance the both,a?? he said. a??When I came back to Celtic I didna??t feel fit and healthy and giving my best form for the club.a??

so there you have it, the club matters more to him than his country, just like mcgreedy before him , sellik should just admit they don't care about our national side.

I'm pretty sure you were around suggesting he should never play for Scotland as he's English- now complaining that he's not playing for Scotland.

That makes you a royal w.ank.

And, he's right, he is playing better since leaving the Scottish set up. I'm not sure what you're blethering about. W.ank again I guess.

Well done to Kris Commons who has been in peerless form for Celtic this season and by retiring from International Fitba he has ensured a bit of longevity to his Celtic career.

Whether its Commons or any other footballer you gotta question the gullibility of the media and fans who swallow this kinda bollox. By not playing 3 or 4 times A YEAR!!! its saved his domestic game because of the reduced strain. Utter sh1te tell that to real athletes who know what its like to really train and put real pressures on their body. Footballers are the most precious cosseted fuuds on the planet.

Youd have more respect for him and the likes of Dobbin McCulloch who turn their back on the National Team if they were just honest and said they don't like playing international football instead of of all the utter drivel they spout, which sadly too many folk buy into.

The day they live in the real world would be a day to remember.

i await the scotland manager's comments on this insult to playing for the national team and the insinuation that it somehow diminishes a players ability.

Perhaps the realisation that he was a traitor to his own country eventually shamed him into withdrawing from another nations team.
