It seems to be some season ticket holders who think that the play off games should be included as part of their ticket - cup games normally don't but it seems the inclusion of the 3 Europa League games has made people a bit greedy.
Also, judging from an article someone has posted on CL, the ticket prices for the play offs have to be agreed between all 4 clubs as the gate receipts are shared between the football league (who get 50%!!!) & jointly between the other 4 clubs - apparently PNE wanted to cut prices for theirs but the other 3 clubs wouldn't agree to it
On the flip side there is also a regulation in place to stop any club from charging any amount above the normal season pricing structure too

yep the ruling for tickets for the play offs says we cannot reduce ticket prices without the written permission of the away team. Reduce also means making them available to season ticket holders. They also can't be treated as local promotion games ( a match when you can give discount for home fans but not away fans ).

I think we get enough for our season ticket money .. it works out at just over A? 10 per home game with a ST ... I havent travelled to Blackburn today so that will pay for the Play Off ticket ..
I am really hoping we get about 18,000 home fans on for the first leg.. with maybe about 2,000 from QPR .. Derby will sell out if it is them we play .

Probably through pure ignorance or a less whingey set of FB "friends" (although most of mine are pure ****e cannons) I have not seen the moaning yet, but after paying A£33 for the ****ebok or A£35 for Bellend Road, I think A£20 for a play off semi is an absolute steal. Anybody complaining about that price is looking for any old excuse to instead watch it on TV rather than make the effort to offer their support. Bet half those moaning will spend that on ale while watching it in the boozer while ridiculing Liverpools new found armchair supporters.

Fair enough if people want to complain about ridiculous play off dates or moan about kick off times, but FFS, that price is more than fair.

From, what I've heard it's not so much about the A£20 but the fact that it will put some non season ticket holders off.
I went to Brum on Tuesday night and they nearly filled their ground at A£10 a ticket, fan power got 3 points for Blackpool with 3000 free tickets.

We need to fill the ground and get behind the team and if the price was lower it would have brought in more .

If A£20 is enough to put non-season ticket holders off for such an important game, then there's something seriously wrong...mind these are Wiganers we're talking about.
