    Manager of the month

Well thank god Dyche won it, don't want that old curse going into the play offs!

    Dyche - 13 points from 6 games, 6 goals scored, +4 GD
    McClaren - 15 points from 6 games, 14 goals scored, +8 GD

I guess the achievement of getting a small club like Burnley into the Prem was always going to get short-term acclaim..

Alright then I'll humour you Rattea.

In April both teams have played:

    Watford, Blackpool, Barnsley and Middlesborough.

    Derby: Played 4, Won 3, Lost 1, GF 9, GD +4
    Burnley: Played 4, Won 2, Drawn 1, Lost 1, GF 3, GD +2

"Like for like", wouldn't you say?

I'm not for one minute advocating that their wins against Wigan and Ipswich should be ignored, but maybe that their month on the whole was not as good as ours.

Same old mantra from the rat (getting very boring and I used to enjoy his posts) Manager of the month might have had something to do with getting your team into automatic promotion regardless of the opposition. While the auto promotion has to do with the whole season what bigger achievement can you do in the month than get promoted to the PL. Would expect SM to be in the same position if he has Derby promoted through the playoffs (feel very positive about the playoffs but wouldn't want to jinx things).

You could argue that at this time of the season where teams are scrapping for points, playing the team bottom is just as difficult as playing the team at the top of the league, because the points available are ***** albeit for different reasons. Blackpool winning away at Wigan, Milwall beating Derby, Wigan and Forest away are all examples of this!

Maybe I'm just a genius to take that into consideration!!!
