I would think it was an addition to the team. Sam Rush did say at one of the your 90 minutes events that Steve McClaren had a relatively small team (including those already here) and that if additions were needed it wouldn't be an issue.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a few of Steve's former players link up with us either - as long as it's not Ishmael Miller!
