    IF we don't go up

After seeing the thread about who our targets are, I was thinking, if we don't win in the play-offs, who will we be in danger of losing/who do you expect to leave?

I think Hughes may go if we don't go up, although he did say in his Young POTY speech on DCFC YouTube channel that he would be very happy if he won it again next season.

Will Bryson go? If he does have that 750k release clause, I'd be surprised if that wasn't activated.

Chris Martin? 20 goals this season, may be a target for some sides?

Also adding to this, if we do go up, who do you expect to leave? Who will be cleared out to make room for some more quality needed for the PL?

I'd be surprised if rush and mac let anyone go that they didnt want to. Hughes maybe, but other then that i think they will hold the team together. If bryson does have that clause i can see it being sorted out this summer for us.I reckon they will view keeping this team together more important than signing new players.

Bryson does seem very happy here, he said this season has been the best of his career and these past few days with the awards he's won has been the "best few days of his life."

Give him a 4 year contract, no clauses. Will keep him here til he's 31, if someone wants him they can pay a fair price.

This has been a concern of mine as well. If we don't go up Bryson, Martin and Hughes (at least) would all become targets. Over the last two seasons many of our better players have gone under the radar but finishing 3rd and being the league's highest scorers will have undoubtedly alerted those who weren't already. As has been said, I hope Mac and Rush would fight tooth and nail to keep this team together as our strength as a footballing side has come from the gradual gelling of players over time and generating a sense of 'togetherness' in the dressing room and on the pitch. Far harder to regain once it has been lost that simply replacing the odd star individual.

Inevitably however every player has his price, so it may come down to having to sell one highly valued player (guess who) rather than two or three others and completely dismembering the team.

Ideally we would hope to be in a strong enough position, as we are being led to believe, to be able to have a significant measure o
